Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor in the the School of Social Work. This position is for the 2022-2023 academic year and is a two-year appointment with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. Applications received by June 30, 2022 will receive fullest consideration. The application process will remain open until the position is filled.

The School of Social Work has maintained an accredited BSW Program since 1975 and in Fall 1998 began its MSW Program (accredited 2000) with specializations in Clinical Practice with Families and Children and Global and Community Practice.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Required Years of Experience: 5

Other Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). New Jersey social work license eligible. Five years of clinical post-MSW social work experience.

Demonstrated evidence of maintaining professional currency and the ability to develop new curriculum. Collegial work style and advocacy commitment to the interests of the School and the profession.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and human rights and a demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in their application materials through a statement on diversity and teaching philosophy as well as a statement on diversity in professional service.

Preferred Qualifications:
MSW teaching experience.
